Pastoral Support

Our Pastoral Team consists of:

  • Form Tutors
  • Heads of Years
  • Attendance and Welfare Officer
  • Pastoral Support Worker

The Pastoral Team offers support and guidance to students in a number of ways including assisting with organisation, listening, and responding to student issues, emotional/behavioural support and home/school support and communication.  

In addition, we have links with many specialists outside agencies such as CAHMS, Young Carers and Early Help. Please see below for more information on these agencies.

North Yorkshire CAMHS

CAMHS deliver community based direct and indirect services including advice, assessments, diagnostic service and intervention for children and young people experiencing mental health and emotional problems or learning disabilities and their carers/families. To find out more information please

Well-being in Mind

Are a team of NHS staff working in our academy. They offer support to students experiencing difficulties with their emotional and mental wellbeing, including low mood and anxiety. They also help those whose behaviours are causing them problems and work with other services to make sure everyone can access the most appropriate help and support. North Yorkshire Early Help

The purpose of Early Help is to work together to resolve problems before they become overwhelming, long term and costly to the child, young person, family, and the wider community. Early Help enables children, young people and their families that have become overwhelmed by difficulties to make better choices, learn new skills, and aspire to turn their lives around. Compass Phoenix

Compass Phoenix service is to improve outcomes for children and young people in relation to their emotional wellbeing and mental health by strengthening the range of mental health support available to children and young people. help young people to make sustainable lifestyle changes in order to improve their long-term health, resilience and emotional wellbeing, reduce risk to themselves and others and equip them to reach their potential.
